Gallopher

About

Gallopher builds software. Pretty simple actually.

We're a software agency. Companies hire us to design and build their products, and we do it the way we always wished vendors had done it for us: working from day one.

Why We Started

We started Gallopher because we kept buying tools that were supposed to save us time, and instead we spent the first month just trying to get them working. Setup taking longer than the actual problem it was solving. You know how that goes.

So when we started building for other people, that became the rule. Whatever we ship has to work when you open it. Not after a workshop. Not after three onboarding calls.

How We Work

We're small. Just a few of us right now, and honestly that's fine with us. We'd rather build something a handful of people actually like than something a thousand people kind of tolerate.

Being small keeps us honest: everything we ship, we also have to live with. So we care about architecture, defaults, and the kind of details that make a product work on day one instead of week four.

Remote-First

We work remotely, all of us, from wherever we're most productive. It runs on trust and clear written communication, not on green status dots.

Flexible hours, dedicated focus time with no meetings, and pay that doesn't change based on where you live. We built the workplace we'd want to join. Which is handy, because we did.

Commitments

Growth.

Small team, no narrow roles. Everyone works across the stack, ships to real clients, and gets courses, certs, and conference time paid for. We'd rather grow people than replace them.

Balance.

Flexible hours, focus days without meetings, and workloads planned so nobody has to be a hero. Rested people write better software.

Inclusion.

We hire on skill and judgment, not background. Remote, async work makes room for different lives, time zones, and working styles. No slogans required.

Environment.

Remote-first means no office to heat, light, or commute to. We work async instead of flying to meetings and buy hardware to last. A handful of people with laptops, and we intend to keep our footprint about that size.

Where We're At

Most of what we build is TypeScript: React or Next.js on the front, Node.js and PostgreSQL behind it, AWS underneath. Mobile is React Native. The AI work, agents and LLM integration, is mostly Python. We pick boring, proven tools so the interesting problems get the attention.

Still early. If you're curious what we're up to, just message us.
